The association’s first products and the starting point of the whole are the Little Infinite Column and the Table of Silence. The two wooden toys reinterpret the monumental sculptures of Constantin Brâncuși from Târgu Jiu. Produced in Romania from beech wood, hand-crafted, available in colored and natural versions, the toys have circulated over the years beyond design fairs: they have entered contemporary art exhibitions Sons and Daughters of Brâncuși (project by Alexandra Croitoru, Art Encounters Timișoara 2015, Salonul de Proiecte / Fabrica de Pensule Cluj 2015, MAGMA Contemporary Sfântu Gheorghe 2016) and were present as part of Minitremu’s pedagogical practice in the exhibition Spring Never Comes Again. Children and Art in the 20th & 21st Centuries at the Zachęta National Art Gallery in Warsaw (2023), where we held workshops with children and a presentation for educators and pedagogues, with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw. The toys have also appeared in international press, including Fast Company and Radio Romania International.
The natural version is especially suitable for workshops. Those who purchase the toys for this purpose can also request educational materials created and tested by us in workshops with different ages.
Also available from the shop are: the coloring and activity book with drawings by Dan Perjovschi, published by Minitremu in Romanian, English and Hungarian, distributed internationally by P.U.N.C.H.; pins made together with Gruni based on works by the Monotremu duo, including Arta-ma and the street signs series; 10+ year anniversary bags designed by Diana Vlasa; zines made during Minitremu Art Camp and other workshops; postcards, stationery and handmade objects made by friends of Minitremu.
All money from sales is reinvested in the association’s projects.
